Nog even en dan vertrek ik voor ongeveer 1 maand naar Nederland. De komende weken is er in de gangen van het gemeentehuis van Fumel een presentatie van de werken van dit jaar van ons atelier en ik kan nog net meehelpen om de schilderijen op te hangen. Ik heb er twee nieuwe schilderijen voor gemaakt. Het onderwerp van deze tentoonstelling is “patrimoine”. De nederlandse vertaling van dit woord is ‘cultureel erfgoed’. Het betreft hier meestal gebouwen. Een van mijn collega’s heeft in Fumel een aantal foto’s gemaakt van voordeuren van oude huizen. Deze vertellen alle hun eigen verhaal. Ik vond het leuk hiervan wat details in aquarel te vertalen.

Just a few days and then I leave for about 1 month to the Netherlands. The next few weeks there will be a presentation of the works of this year of our class. It will be in the corridors of the Town Hall of Fumel. I have just enough time to help hanging the paintings. I have made two new paintings for this exhibition. The subject is "patrimoine". The translation of this word is ' cultural heritage '. In this case it is about buildings. One of my colleagues has made a number of photos of front doors of old houses in Fumel. All these tell their own story. I liked it to translate some details in watercolour.

Encore ici pour quelques jours, puis je pars aux Pays-Bas pour environ 1 mois. Les prochaines semaines il y aura une présentation des travaux de cette année de notre atelier dans les couloirs de la Mairie de Fumel et j’ai juste le temps pour aider à accrocher les tableaux. Pour cela j'ai fait deux nouvelles peintures. L'objet de cette exposition est « patrimoine ». Il s'agit généralement des bâtiments. Un de mes collègues a fait un certain nombre de photos à Fumel des portes des vieilles maisons. Ils racontent tout leur propre histoire. Il m’a fait plaisir à traduire certains détails à l'aquarelle.
